Political Circus provides a browser extension that utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to perform image manipulation on web content viewed by users. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
When you register for an account, we may collect personal information including, but not limited to, email addresses and authentication credentials. This information is collected and stored through third-party service providers as described in Section 8.
We collect information about your interactions with the Service, including user preferences, selected features, and subscription status. This data is necessary for providing, maintaining, and improving the Service.
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical information including browser type, operating system, timestamps, usage statistics, IP address, device information, and general location data. We use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to collect analytics data about Service usage, user engagement, and technical diagnostics. This information is used for system administration, security purposes, and service improvement.
The Service processes visual content from web pages you visit to provide its core functionality. Images are cropped, analyzed for face detection using machine learning algorithms, and transmitted to third-party AI services for processing. Image data is processed temporarily and is not permanently stored beyond the time reasonably necessary to complete processing operations. We do not retain, archive, or create databases of processed images, except as may be necessary for debugging purposes in non-production environments.
The browser extension utilizes face detection and recognition technology to identify specific public figures in images. This involves generating temporary mathematical representations (face descriptors) of detected faces, which are compared against reference images of public figures. These descriptors are stored only in temporary browser memory during active sessions and are not transmitted to our servers or permanently stored.
We collect and store information related to your subscription plan, credit balance, transaction history, and usage of Service features. Payment card information is collected and processed exclusively by our third-party payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) and is not stored on our servers.
The browser extension requires certain permissions to function, including access to view and modify content on web pages and local storage permissions. These permissions are used solely to provide the Service's functionality. We do not collect, track, or store your browsing history, the URLs you visit, or any personal information from third-party websites beyond what is necessary for image processing operations.
The extension stores the following data locally in your browser: authentication tokens, user preferences, selected public figures, credit balance, and service activation status. If you have browser synchronization enabled, this data may be synchronized across your devices through your browser provider's sync service (e.g., Chrome Sync).
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies through Firebase Analytics to analyze Service usage and improve user experience. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may limit certain functionality of the Service.
